A HUGE THANK YOU!!! Almost done with 2019 Thanksgiving Basket Delivery!!
To: Addie, Alicia, Anne, Celestine, Dionne, Jay, Jill, Marvin, Robert, Scott, Sunanda and Sigma Rho Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. who helped us deliver food to over 50 families which will feed over 300 people!!
Then on the 2nd half of the day which continued until 6:30pm we delivered 50 more Thanksgiving baskets to Miller Manor Public Housing!! We delivered 100 in all for a day that started at 10am!
It was cold, it was raining, but you all did it with smiles and kind, gracious attitudes. We thank you!! We have only 10 more to deliver. They are scheduled for Friday afternoon and now…. on to Christmas!
The Ann Arbor Community Center must have the help of Volunteers to reach the number of persons that we do. However, we recognize that it is our job to train our volunteers to be knowledgeable about why we do what we do.
We hope that you will register for our next Volunteer Training! You must complete at least 1 before we can put you to work! Unfortunately we have found that it isn’t fair to the volunteer or us when they have not been prepared.
So please note: The next scheduled Volunteer Training Session is Sunday December 8 from Noon to 2PM and you must be registered to attend. Call 734.662.3128 to register or reply to this email.
