We have stocked our pantry with school supplies, snacks, hygiene products and other personal items our children need. We have visited each school. We have ordered new cabinets for a couple of schools to house the supplies. The AACC Caring Closets will be open October 1st.  Learn more about our Always Available Caring Closets program here.

We have begun taking application for Thanksgiving Baskets and Christmas Adopt A Family.

We are working very closely with the Ann Arbor Public schools and are proud that we are a Strategic Partner with them! And, of course we serve families throughout the County including Ypsilanti. We are excited that we are planning to return to Holmes Elementary School for ‘Science Time!’ and other assistance.

One last thing from summer!  It was a great summer!! Again we want to thank the members of Gamma Rho Boule for their collaboration with us on exposing youth to Golf. The golf outing and instruction received complete with breakfast, lunch, a free book for each child and an opportunity to share with parents resulted in 3 children continuing with golf instruction for 7 more weeks!!  These children had never been to a golf course or seen one on the inside. They enjoyed the game! The Boule is to be commended! Thank you for the outreach with the AACC!

Lastly, stay with us to hear more about our Family Mentorship Program. Applications are being completed and our Staff Social Workers are fully engaged in making sure that the best possible selections are made. The goal continues to be to fully equip families to become self sufficient. Watch this space for further updates!
