I want to thank everyone!! We had a lot of work to do, but we are so proud to share with you a note from a Teacher!  We have poured ourselves into an Elementary School that needed our help. Spent time getting folks ready for the Olympiad held at Pioneer High School this past Saturday. It was a climb uphill but we made it to what we consider the top!!! And, we look forward to greater success next year as this win will give many other children an understanding that they CAN!!  Then the Teacher sent us this note:

Hi Rev. Whiten,

I wanted to say thank you again for everything the Ann Arbor Community Center has done for our students this year. Saturday was a huge success, and it wouldn’t have been possible had it not been for all of the volunteers hard work and dedication to our students.

One major success we had on Saturday was that one of our students, Brandon, was awarded 2nd place (out of 40 teams!) in the 5th grade Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah event. This is a first for Holmes, and I think it really highlights the time and effort put in by both the students and the volunteers. Please be sure to congratulate all of the volunteers for their efforts.
